What a spectacular day! The 66th Annual Ligonier Highland Games were a resounding success, bathed in glorious sunshine at Idlewild Park. The air was filled with the stirring sounds of bagpipes and the vibrant energy of a community celebrating Scottish heritage.
The crowd was captivated by the sheer power of the heavy athletes competing in traditional events like the caber toss, as well as the grace and precision of the Highland dancers and lively fiddlers. Pipe bands marched with powerful precision, and solo pipers filled the air with their music.
Beyond the main events, guests explored the vendor village, a treasure trove of Scottish goods, food, and unique crafts. It was a day of community, culture, and connection.
A huge thank you to everyone—competitors, performers, vendors, and guests—who made the 66th Annual Ligonier Highland Games such a memorable event. Can’t wait for next year’s games!
